We all know how contagious the omicron variant is even amongst those who are double or triple vaccinated. If you have not had your booster jab, please ring us to arrange that soon. We have enough supplies of the booster vaccine for all those who are due (or overdue). We now recommended the booster jab 4 or more months after your second jab. The interval is even shorter for those who are immuno-compromised.
To minimise the spread of the omicron variant amongst patients attending the practice, we ask of you to follow the following rules if you need medical attention:
- Inform our staff if you have any symptoms (sore throat, running nose, cough, fever, headache, feeling unwell) – you may be asked to perform a rapid antigen test (RAT) prior to coming to the practice. It may be preferrable that the consultation is conducted via phone or video.
- Inform our staff if you are a close contact of someone who tested positive. You are supposed to be in isolation for 7 days pending a negative swab on Day 6 of the contact. We are happy to conduct a tele health consultation.
If you have no symptoms or have not been in contact with anyone with Covid-19 and when you present at the practice:
- Call the practice upon your arrival but please wait in your car. Our staff will ring you when Dr Khoo is ready.
- Please check in with your QR code
- Wear a surgical mask or an N95/P2 mask which covers your nose and mouth at all times when you are at the practice
- Please show our staff your vaccination certificate*
(*If you are not vaccinated, we will still attend to you but we need to know ahead of time)
We appreciate your understanding and assistance to minimise the spreading of the virus to the vulnerable members of our community.
